    Before and After

By admin on May 3, 2010

The Town of Southwest Ranches had a dream of building a Town Hall ever since they became a town in 2000. They spent years planning it and millions to develop it. They had the site and the plans but the downturn of the economy made everything just seem like a dream. A dream until Councilman Doug McKay  ran across a deal too good to pass over. New River Baptist Church had decided to sell one of they locations so they could renovate and or expand their other location. The Church and the School were the perfect size, the size of the parking lot was perfect, the price was perfect, the location was perfect. Councilman McKay just needed to sell it to the rest of the council and townsfolk. He came to me with the challenge. We took photos of the building and using photoshop we re-did the fascia of the building to meet the towns current rural design standard and sense of place. Cimetta Design Inc. won the contract to develop the design standards in 2005 competing a winning the bid against eight other design firms. The design standards were applied to the photograph which gave Councilman McKay a tool to sell the concept. The project has since been voted on and passed by the council unanimously.

The day has arrived, Robotic Security Lighting.

By admin on April 21, 2010

Cloaked by the dark curtain of a new moon, he slowly adjusted his grip on the rust sprinkled crowbar and fixed his gaze on the quaint blue house nestled in a lovely suburban cul-de-sac. As he slowly anchored his legs, like a sprinter preparing for a championship race, he finally saw the signal he had painstakingly anticipated over the last month of casing the home and its residents; the light of the last window had been extinguished. Brimming with confidence since his last successful heist on the very same block, he darted through the darkness like a leopard closing in on its prey. A quarter of the way across the lawn, his vision was instantaneously assaulted with the overwhelming blaze of a Night Watcher® Robotic PIR Security Light. As he moved left, then right, to avoid the powerful beam of the Nightwatcher floodlight, he realized, to his amazement, that the light was moving in the same direction that he moved, illuminating his every step. With no place to hide, his only hope was to retreat back to the safety of the darkness, with the Nightwatcher following him as he exited the property.

The new NightWatcher range of outdoor security lights contain patent pending motion sensing technology that determines the direction of the motion within the 220 degree detection zone, then points the light in that direction. As the built-in microprocessor controls the motorized light head, it gives any approaching intruder the impression that they are being actively monitored. The systems are designed to not only illuminate when motion is detected but also track the movement of the interloper within a detection zone. With the impressive logo, package, trade booth design and brand design by the talented graphic design studio, Cimetta Design Inc., Cimettadesign.com, Night Watcher® will soon unleash these state-of-the-art and formidable technologies upon the Las Vegas Hardware Show on May 4th through the 6th in booth Lobby17.

Mari is currently in negotiations with Winn-Dixie and Sedano’s to spread the flavorful products in individual 12 count packages of Coconut, Cream Cheese, Meat, Guava, and Cheese and Guava. “As dreams of success are quickly becoming a reality with these products, it’s easy to overlook all the hardships we had in the design stage of the packaging, branding, and website for Mayeya,” joked Ken Cimetta, owner of Cimetta Design Inc. “These hardships were being the continuous disappearance of the photography samples of Pastalitos. I guess, the staff couldn’t help themselves; the products really do taste phenomenal.” Mayeya is currently in the development stage of a full line of Cuban specialties and is working with Cimetta Design to develop its new packaging.

    Roboanimatronics: Branding 2.0

By admin on June 22, 2007

Southwest Ranches, FL, June 22, 2007 –(PR.com)– All mascots for large corporations create a brand and a memory hook that keeps their messages at the top of the viewers’ mind. Animal “spokesthings”, such as the Aflac duck, the Geico gecko, and the Exxon tiger, are firmly ingrained in consumers’ minds. Of course, large corporations have large budgets to capture these real and animated creatures on film. The costs for producing a ten-second clip of a running tiger can add up quickly. To start, you’ll first need an experienced cinematographer who is not allergic to cats. Then add the two grips, five tiger handlers, travel expenses, food for the crew, licenses, and insurance coverage to the budget. Of course, then there is the tiger itself, preferably tamed with plenty of food in his belly – you don’t want him to be hungry. At that point, the budget can be running into the $50,000 range, and that’s for ten seconds of a tiger running. Animated characters can cost a small fortune as well – especially when they’re fully integrated into commercials with audio and visual effects, music, and voice talent.
