Initial Priorities: Security and Hosting

The first priority is to ensure your website has an SSL certificate. Currently, the site does not have one, which presents two major concerns.

First, visitors may receive a browser warning that your site is “not secure,” which can create immediate trust issues. Second, search engines like Google penalize non-secure websites in their rankings, which could be affecting your visibility.

We can help in two ways:

  • If you prefer to keep your current hosting provider, we can assist in installing and configuring an SSL through them.
  • Alternatively, we offer hosting for $25/month with a one-time $35 setup fee, and SSL certificates at $160/year. We do not require you to host with us.

Once the SSL certificate is worked out, we would want to proceed with a website redesign.

Website Redesign and Development

As we discussed, a website redesign would be the course of action I would recommend. In today’s market, your website is often a client’s first impression of your business. A modern, clean design builds trust and communicates professionalism.

This will improve credibility and perceived value of your services, make sure your website is optimized for mobile devices, which now account for the majority of web traffic, and incorporate modern design elements like testimonials, seals, and associations to build trust.

We recommend building your new site using WordPress, a widely supported content management system (CMS). This makes it easy for you, your team, or our team to update the site moving forward, whether it’s adding staff, posting blog content, or making simple changes without needing a developer.

The new website will be a professionally designed brochure-style site that reflects your brand and services. It will include the following pages:

What’s the Process?

Development Process:

  1. Design Phase – We’ll design a homepage concept for your approval. Once finalized, we’ll create the remaining interior pages. All of these are created as static layouts so that we can get the design of the site perfect before we touch programming.
  2. Development Phase – The website will be built on our development server, allowing you to review a demo of the full website before it goes live.
  3. Approval & Launch – Once approved, we’ll migrate the new website to your domain.
  4. Mobile & SEO Optimization – The website will be fully responsive and developed with SEO-friendly best practices.
  5. Google Analytics & Webmaster Tools – Installed for performance tracking and insights.
  6. Newsletter Integration – In the above pages, we list “Newsletter”. We would include a linking of the site to either Mailchimp or Constant Contact so your visitors, when submitting your forms, can join your Newsletter. We would also include a page that would allow someone to subscribe to your Newsletter.
  7. Contact Form Logging – The contact forms on the website will email the submissions to whatever email you prefer, but they will also collect and log the form submissions within the backend of the website, where you can download them as a spreadsheet.

Stock Photography or stock video is additional. It may be necessary for us to purchase Royalty Free-Copyright Free Stock Photography unless you have images available for us. Copyright-free Free Images and Lifestyle Shots can be purchased on your behalf, to be billed at the rate of approximately $40 to $50 per shot, depending on the shot. We will always get your approval of a stock image or video before purchasing anything on your behalf. We want to ensure you have the rights to the photos used.

Another important reason to rebuild the site is to ensure ADA compliance. Making your website accessible to individuals with disabilities is not only a best practice—it’s the law under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Copy-writing

The above website quotes do not include copywriting but we do offer that service. Our copywriting service begins with a strategy session to define the message and information you want to convey. We then write the copy, ensuring it’s SEO-friendly and aligned with your brand’s tone. The final text will be edited and ready for your approval.

Our service includes keyword analysis and competitive research to ensure the content is optimized without sounding stiff or unprofessional. We’ll review everything with you to ensure it meets your expectations. We charge $450 for the first 2,000 words, which includes keyword and competitive analysis, and $150 per 1,000 words thereafter.

For reference:

Homepages typically require 300-500 words.

“About Us” pages usually range from 400-800 words.

Education and Documentation

Both website options above include a training booked in advance from our Studio Via Zoom. We record the training with you and provide you with the recording so that you can reference it in the future. We will review with you and show you how to edit the site, update it, and more. We will spend some time discussing some of the things that you can do to keep optimizing your website and growing it. We earmark an hour and a half for this. Just give us a date.

If you would like more training time in the future, please advise what particular thing about your website or marketing that you would like to review, and we can schedule another training session at a later date, price TBD.

Web Browser Support

Unless otherwise specified by the client, we will be optimizing websites for browsers later than Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox.
However, we would be more than happy to accommodate clients who require support for legacy browsers.

Third-Party Applications

Support for any third-party applications, plug-ins, or add-ons requested by the Client will be billed at our hourly rate. Due to the nature of the work and the unpredictability of other developers’ work, we cannot provide quotes or time estimates for technical troubleshooting, integration, formatting, refactoring, or debugging.

Project Terms and Conditions

The agreed-upon contract fee for the creation, design, administering, or maintenance of the Buyer’s product or service precludes Cimetta Design, Inc. from further obligation to the project upon the advent of newer technology. Cimetta Design, Inc. ensures project completion as agreed upon within this contract. Cimetta Design, Inc. is not responsible for future technological innovations. Should the Buyer require further maintenance upon their product or service at a later point in time, the Seller and Buyer shall commit to a new contract.

Revision Policy

Any errors made by Cimetta Design will be corrected at no charge to the Client. Any and all changes/ modifications made after initial information (Copy/Text and Images) is provided will incur additional charges at a rate of $150 per hour to be billed in 15-minute increments.

Stock Photography / Stock Video

Any stock photography or stock video that you don’t currently already own would be additional. It may be necessary for us to purchase Royalty Free-Copyright Free Stock Photography unless you have images available for us. Copyright Free Images and LifeStyle Shots can be purchased on your behalf, to be billed at the rate of approximately $50 to $60 per shot, depending on the shot. We will always get your approval of a stock image or video before purchasing anything on your behalf. We want to ensure you have the rights to the photos used.

Agreement

Cimetta Design agrees to provide the graphic design services to the client (“client”) at a rate of $150.00/hr.

The estimate (“Estimate”) of each job will be provided upon request.

Copyrighting is not included in this estimate and Cimetta Design Inc. (“Designer”) is not responsible for copyrighting any work it performs on behalf of Client.

We reserve the right to display all aspects of our creative work, including sketches, work-in-progress designs, and the completed project on our portfolio and in articles on websites, magazine articles, and in books once the work is published.

Text, photographs, and images should be supplied on disk or other electronic media in the appropriate format to prevent additional charges for typing or scanning. The client agrees that it shall not hold the Designer or its agents or employees liable for failure to perform any aspect of the Job due to the lack of text, photographs, and images provided by the Client.

Unless agreed by Client and Designer, Client shall provide all photographs utilized by Designer and warrants that he/she has permission to use all photographs provided and shall hold Designer harmless for any copyright or other violation which arises from the use of photographs supplied by Client.

Client is responsible for proofreading and approving all work. The designer will make a reasonable attempt to prevent typographical, grammatical, and other errors, however, the responsibility for proofreading the work is solely the Client’s responsibility, and the Designer is not responsible, whatsoever, for damages sustained by any typographical or grammatical errors.

Designer agrees to archive all graphic material prepared for its Clients but is not responsible for the corruption or loss of files after the Job is complete. Retrieval of documents at a later date will incur additional charges.

Cancellation Policy- In the event of cancellation of work by the Client, ownership of all copyrights and the original artwork shall be retained by the Designer, and a cancellation fee for work completed, based on the contract price $150.00 per hour to be billed in 15-minute increments. All deposits are non-refundable.

Web Hosting Policy- We host websites on a month-to-month basis. Web sites are either paid in advance or billed monthly. Due to security reasons, we must have a notice in writing 30 days prior to cancellation, by the owner of the URL, before our hosting agreement can be canceled.

Any electronic file transfers that Cimetta Design makes as a result of the changes or at the request of the Client that is out of the scope of the project are to be determined and may incur additional costs.

All payments shall be made to Cimetta Design, Inc., and sent to the Designers studio listed above in Broward County Florida.

The client agrees that it shall not hold the Designer or its agents or employees liable for any incidental or consequential damages that arise from the Designer’s failure to perform any aspect of the Job in a timely manner, regardless of whether such failure was caused by negligent acts or omissions of the Designer or a third party.

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties hereto and supersedes all prior agreements and writings. This agreement shall only be amended in writing by all parties

This Agreement shall become a legally binding agreement when the Client sends a reply and shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and jurisdiction and venue for any lawsuit brought pursuant to this Agreement shall be filed in Broward County.

This estimate is only good for 30 days from the date on the agreement.

If any action at law or in equity, including an action for declaratory relief, is brought to enforce or interpret the provisions of this Agreement, the prevailing party will be entitled to reasonable attorneys’ fees in addition to any other relief to which that party may be entitled.
